A Robin's Sound

A Robin’s Sounds

On, this bench I sat, wishing my situation was not
Everything seems wrong, within my path
I need a turnaround!, I need a turnaround!
Surrounded by trees, and an orange sun
Looking for answers before I move on
Lonely I sat, with a hurting heart
Silently weeping, as people go by

Between the leaves, I heard a wonderful sound
It was a robin, singing her melodies
I creeped to the spot, where, she was singing majestically
She saw me and wanted to get free
No, no, I am only here, to listen quietly
She flew high, not trusting me

Now, lonely I was, and lonely again
Wishing I could stay in that robbins's suspense
She lifted me to a place of tranquility
My mind was free, momentarily
Rapped, in the sounds, of the robin’s beauty
I trusted her sound, to rest my miseries
Back to reality, that brought me to this, bench

Hi Myles. This is a nice poem about how nature can change ones spirit. I would hold on to the thoughts of tranquility and seek the robins company until that feeling became permanent. The reality with the robin sounds much better. Very well written yet sad. I enjoyed the poem my friend..... Robert.

Shades of Keat's nightengale? Personally I would take an aspirin, bird calls drive me nuts! Well written poem. You didn't find the error in my poem. Sorry. Your point, however, was well taken. Thank you for stopping by. / M
