A River Flowing

Sometimes, I feel…
Your essence surrounds me
It’s in the air I breathe
And when I close my eyes
I dream and you are here! So real!
In a blink- it’s gone- never long
Reality slaps me awake

So, I give up...

Run… Run with the winds…
Scale highest mountain peaks
Bask in sun-kissed valley
Swim mighty ocean tides…
For within each swell we meet
As I am a river flowing always into you

You will find this special may one day, Audrey. No one deserves it more! And I can relate to this feeling of endless pursuit of happiness. Awesome poem for my favorites! Love and blessings, Carolyn
