A Ride With Me

If there was ever a day I'd want the sun to shine
 Today would be the day
Taking away these clouds and pain of mine
Like a river washing them away
There was so many things that we didn't do
There was so many things we didn't see
Travel the world just me and you
Remember saying these things to me
But now you're gone up in the sky
So I'll have to do this on my own
 Everyday still asking myself why
As I now travel these states alone
 Blue skies and beautiful days
 Constantly reminding me of you
Of the days you were able to play
And the things we used to do
All I have now are these memories
Traveling with me in this car
Of when it was you and me
Feeling so close but then so far
But I would travel the world from sea to sea
If there would happen to be a way
You were in the car driving with me
Then I'd get in my car and drive each day

Well expressed, loss is full of memories, what I call the would have, should have and could haves. If only we could have a do over.

Thank you. Life can be full of so many surprises, sometimes we just gotta take the good with the bad i guess...
