A Ride

My dog and I took a ride
A beautiful, bright, sunny day
Bold blue sky was decorated with white clouds,
floating above the green farm land
The temperature was perfect
We were free as the wind upon our faces
I visited a sweet candy shop with penny candy
We walked by yellow and purple flowers
The two of us made the best of it
Peace, quiet and calming solitude
Both of us happy, riding along
A ride to keep in memory now
No stress, not a worry, just smiles
My companion, so smart, so happy,
filled with endless unconditional love
A ride through life and nothing else mattered
