A Riddle Be From Me

An ambulance screeches to the hospital entrance,
In a mortuary van lies’ the father, such a senseless
Accident - child bleeding is rushed into theatre
The surgeon arrives’ goes up the elevator,
Sees patient, this is my son, operating would be reckless!

Hi Jennifer, The surgeon see's her worst nightmare. Her husband was murdered and her son is in a critical state. I don't know, I can be way in left field. I still want to know who murdered her husband? And who shot or stabbed the son? Were they out for revenge?Wow! I've never seen a limerick like this before. Excellent job - Alexis

I apologise my friend. I should have kept the answer to the riddle to myself. I had to read it several times though. Next time when you do another, I won't be so quick to answer it:-) Alexis

You and Vijay got it - congrats - the surgeon was the mother. Father and son were involved in an accident but the father died from his injuries, the son was rushed to hospital and the surgeon was called to do an emergency operation on the patient, who is her son - she could not do it as she was too emotionally involved! Well pondered! Love and hugs, Jennifer.

Hi Sandra, the surgeon was the mother, people still tend to think a surgeon is a man. Thanks for the visit my friend. Hugs, Jennifer.

Thanks for keeping all guessing Vijay, Alexis got it, funny people still tend to think of a surgeon as being a man and mentioning a woman confuses the issue. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
