A ribbon of gold floats on placid waves of blue. And with a searing kiss, Sol bids the sea adieu. Slipping between ripples, slippery shadows slide. And Luna starts tugging upon the rising tide. A wind-wrecked derelict is now a silhouette. Its rusty bow tangled, in an old fishing net. Silver slivers of clouds become tarnished by night. And as darkness gathers, dusk douses the last light. An orange horizon underscores His descent. And the day closes down with Sol's regal consent. (Quatrain) 2/18/2016

Your original expressions are almost whimsical ... they bring up images like a kid's coloring book (in a good way). You are a wonderful wordsmith, expressing different angles to imagine this scene... though I'm surprised you didn't say "Luna" since you we got "Sol". Beautiful pen...
