Notes About The Poem

My husband pointed out yesterday that the bonfire I had lit 22 hours earlier was still smoking a clear smoke signal into the air. I am immensely proud of the wonderful fire pit that I built as it is still contained! Kudos to me!

A Responsible Person Would

A responsible person would stay until the end of the bonfire.
I go inside and take a nap.
Knowing who is in charge.
Faith trumps responsible every time.

Yes it does; it never ceases to amaze me the number of people who are in church 3-4 nights a week and not only arm themselves with more guns than they can ever use, but also catastrophe foods and enough survival gear for an entire city, piled up in their attics and garages. Where is that faith? Well done.

I have no guns. I do not need them.

You have child like faith. Never grow up my friend.

I never shall. I have a hat that proves it.
