A Response To Music
Tears cover lashes that have forgotten what heaven feels like
A somber revival rids the mind of its burning passion
The want. subtle jealousy, and yearning gone
With a mere head bob and shoulder roll
In a dance club or spy movie
Where they prep for a fight
Pursed lips in front of a low rider
A foot tap
Hips shaking to a high energy heartbeat
Like girls on a roadtrip
Who dream of a secret meadow with a lover
Spinning in circles that hike the trail of life
Peace takes on a techno beat
Bodies grinding in a building mystery
Thoughts wrap around the need to accomplish
To help, hope, and try for the finish line
Open mouths belt ballads outside windows
Desire turns into a hypnotic trance
Of gypsies dancing with hip rolls in eight
Reverting to simpler times, begging
For the open penetration of minds in a contemporary flow
