A Renaissance Couple
Why can’t we be, a Renaissance couple. Close most of the time, space if the other needs to drop a dime. Confident through thick and thin, both will still be there, in the end, even when necessary, for the other to win. Can compromise and trust, earn a place as important as lust? All three important in their own ways, until we are dust. But what of the mysterious force, we feel but really know nothing about, muses have penned words over the centuries, generating heartache, pouts, and unanswered shouts. Elusive love, or caring about one another, if you prefer, comes and goes, but over the long haul, a form of it, probably a must. It keeps worn gears, of togetherness, oiled and moving, not grinding to a halt, binding from rust.
