A Reminder Of What Was

I want to believe change is beautiful, still memories stain me with teardrops; A stinging reminder of what was, I’m left stumbling around in the past; Still memories stain me with teardrops, blurring my vision of the present; I’m left stumbling around in the past, stop staring at that old photograph! Blurring my vision of the present, black and white is no match for color; Stop staring at that old photograph, look forward it is not coming back; Black and white is no match for color, relish the moment while you can; Look forward it is not coming back, you can try but it will always fade; Relish the moment while you can, a stinging reminder of what was; You can try but it will always fade, I want to believe change is beautiful.

You definitely picked up on the reason I wrote this. So many places closing in my town. Makes me sad but maybe the new will be great as well. Blessings.
