A Remedy
Like searching for a poison
To heal a healthy heart.
Like sacrificing all reason
In hopes of being smart.
Life crumbles before us
We didn't see because we were rushing.
To high to realize
We hate this life we're lusting.
Wonder where your dreams went?
They use to come with sleep.
Another thing you lose
When you start to tweek.
Your friends and family fade away
As your jealous drug demands more time.
They ask you how you are doing
You always say your fine.
So busy doing nothing
During those days we somehow misplaced.
Gazing into a crystal ball for hours
Looking for extra time to waste.
I lay in an empty room
As my friend drives away.
Looking for a remedy
To cure a normal day.
