I saw a red leaf.
Visually, unremarkably,
we glide through life
at times,
filling stores with memorabilia.
Artifacts of our histories.
We see things in passing.
Sometimes we stop.
We gaze and remember.
Sometimes we see
new things in the familiar.
I saw a red leaf.
A part of myself I had forgotten.
During the course of your miracle
you will encounter yourself
in many facets,
much like the diamond you will become.
You will see yourself in many ways,
with light shining through
the prism you become.
Some of this light will be red.
You may see a leaf.
