A Reason

I believe there's a reason
for everything,
the four seasons,
birds that sing,
as they fly on their tiny wings.

I believe there's a reason
we cherish the little things,
a gentle touch,
a passionate kiss
and a strong hand to cling.

I believe there's a reason
for all these things.
And yeah, there's even a reason
for broken hearts,
they want no strings,
they want no rings,
no comments to bring.

I believe there's a reason
for all these things.
The excitement of a fling.
The romance in the spring,
that floated on the water wings.

I believe there's a reason
for all these things.
You encouraged a lonely heart to sing,
filled an empty heart with zing.
I never took for granted one single thing.
These memories of you will forever cling
and constantly pull at my heart strings.

It could be, I never really thought of it that way, it's just the way it is. Thank you for your kind comment.

It's spring, Donna, let your heart sing and be free. John

I think spring is that special time of year, that brings out beauty not only in nature but in all the creatures and people. Thank you John for you cheerful comment.
