A Real War

In life I can see the war
Trapped within the corridors of my mind
The harder I persevere
The more I feel like I am wasting time
Meanwhile the clock continues to tick
Time passes at the speed of light
I pray to god for every decision
At times it seems like I will never get it right
The pain of not having the things that seem to fade
The thought of doing it over
The realization that things may never change
Meanwhile I battle in the war
