A Real Man
A real man is kindly to the mother of his kid
Despite the real heartache over something that she did
Somebody has to be the one to give a little more
A real man is ready by the love he gave before
A gentleman is winning when he gives a little bit
A break-up is more final when you have the sense to quit
You must respect the wishes of the mother and her young
A virtue you exhibit with a kind and gentle tongue
A thoughtful man is wiser when he learns to let it go
The kindest act of parting is the time you make it so
The greater part of justice is the way it serves the meek
The wiser man is greatest when he turns the other cheek
A joyful man is perfect in the way he cares for life
He builds a goodly treasure by the way he loves a wife
His fortitude is strongest by the obstacles he leaps
And you may recognize him by the promises he keeps.
