A Real Chin Scratcher
I scratch my chin
while i sit and ponder
And i wonder
about that poetess
way down yonder
Shes far away
So many miles
Filled with so many poetic styles
But now shes asked me to make her smile.
But what kind of smile im not quite clear
Is it one from ear to ear
Or maybe just a smirk i fear
Oh dear Oh dear
I must take care whats written here.
I know that this will sound absurd
But should I attach two cranes upon these words
And fasten to the corners of her cheeks
And hoist them upwards as she reads.
But maybe thats just a way to cheat
And it might just make her grit her teeth
Maybe ill send it with chocolates
And a yellow rose
or a music box
with a ballerina dancin on her toes
I just dont know
So ill sit and ponder a little while
About means and ways to make her smile
That poetess down yonder across the miles
For PD's make me smile contest
