A ray has passed, over the field of our forgetting

A ray has passed, over the field of our forgetting, Since I haven't sprinkled, my love, onto the evening's canvas, our shared dream, And from outside comes the smell of frost to smooth it over... my love, The frost... and the void... An autumn has passed, since your last step crossed my threshold, Since darkness stretched within me, like an apple over a bough... my love, An apple of ice... and doubt... A season has passed, since we last intertwined our fingers, poetically, Since a cold breeze began to wander outside... since then, my love... The cold breeze... and silence... A moment has passed, from our tranquil hourglass, Since I no longer laid, sweetly, a profusion of kisses upon your shoulders, And in me sprouts a longing, a longing that does not quiet, Longing for you... and for our dawns... You know, my love? Today I've again intertwined my hope with yesteryear's longing, With the longing for a dream, to swim in a serene dream. So that your sails may be full, when it will be hard for your eyelids Among paths that separate us, deep within us and boundless... And we float... in our wandering... overwhelmingly alone.
