A Rainy Day

Today was a rainy day,
Each and every way.

The raindrops fell quietly,
And watered the plants silently.

You couldn't go out,
And travel round and about.

Rain makes me sad,
A sunny day could be had.

Umbrella, raincoat and boots,
You could hear the owl hoot.

The princess misses the prince,
That could make you wince.

She wished to send him a hug,
Instead she gave him a nudge.

Today was a rainy day,
She hoped to meet her prince along the way.
