A Raft Made of Bones

After their patriarch died,
sea witches circled the night.
Those left behind clung to hope 
on a raft made of his bones,
until sharkness devoured the light.

Ooooohhhhh I am relishing from the first read. diving back in for a second. The cadence caught me before the words caught up. I do not register what was said, only that i liked it a bunch!

a beauty of a title....a raft of bones is often how i feel drifting along with my cane lol : )
