A Quickie

If I were Hansel, you would be my Gretel. If I were Jaime, you would be my Cersei. If I were your brother, you would be my beloved sister. “You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume more than any spice!”* Alas, you never liked the fantasies of ancient incestuous hymns, preferring the realism of contemporary haiku: okay, a quickie but then we go see my mom and dad anyway *The Song of the Songs, 4 (9.10)

Wow. shame on your sister to be brought down to such a quickie of such short words - as any excuse made to your parents for the both of your lateness would have been far better . . . ; )

It's nothing special in this poem, really. The protagonist just doesn't feel like leaving the house)
