A Quick Prayer

Lord-
God-
Sir-
I don’t call your name enough
To know what it is.

Forgive me-
Please-
Thank you-
How do you begin
A conversation with a stranger

Or a God you only acknowledge
When drowning in unholy water
Gurgled pleas and reaching hands

Hear me through it
Hold my hand

Silence-
Too many words-
Too few-
I never know what to say
But right now I feel like talking
Will you listen?

Ask-
Seek-
Knock-
How far away am I?
Jesus, I will find you.
Lord I am here. Please open the door

Hallowed be your name.
