A Quick Love Poem

"A QUICK LOVE POEM"

she sleeps all day but
I told her to get up and
make me breakfast.
that was at eight this
morning.
still waiting, I sit,
still hungry.
it's noon now and she's
finally waken from her
beastly snore.
"what do you want for
breakfast Eddie?" she
asks. "hurry up and tell
me so I can start!"
"it's noon now. it's lunch."
I remind her.
"I know," she says. "I know.
here's your beer."
