A Question Remains

Whatever our question To find an answer to it Prior to the Internet ~ How on earth did we do it? We used encyclopedias If we could afford a good set Was there Father's Day in Ghana? ~ We might have hired a jet Some went to the library Others consulted a guru As for hippies and yippies ~ They trekked to the Maha-rushu That era's long gone Those days are behind us Now we just go click click - And the answer's aligned for us Yet one question is left One question remains: Once AI is triumphant ~ Will we still use our brains?

Maybe if we think of our brain as an app like fb, twitter we might start to use it more, lol, you sre absolutely right, those days are long gone, no need to do hardwork or think just open wikipedia and search whatever you need to

We are losing problem solving skills, memory is used less and less, ability to play... individuality traits are not being developed. Well thought out and direct points. :)

Right you are, Susan! … We have more knowledge than ever, but less wisdom, it seems … Let's not despair, however; youth will eventually revolt and revert (and not to the absurd 'coal-mining first, Americans-first' nostalgia served up by the current occupant of the White House either, I'm confident).

Ooh great witty write! Trueness. I'm not getting rid of my reference library. Depending on the scifi you like, if AI's triumphant, they'll be using our brains ;) xomo!

Let's hope you're right. I'm not as optimistic esp. given how each generation cedes more and more 'control,' knowledge, and wisdom to (nasty) electronic devices... And M. Zuckerberg is a robot, by the way. What? You didn't know? Sure. He was created by Lex Luther and the Joker - but the joke's on us. (LOL! I've finally lost it altogether). :) gw

Excellent question! Sometimes I think the smarter computers get, the dumber we are (and I didn't even use 'dumber' correctly!)

You think correctly, Michelle. For sure, that's the way it is. It's interesting that we have more knowledge at our fingertips than ever before in history? But do we have more or less wisdom? Thank you, Michelle, as always, for your visit and kind words. :) gw
