A Purple Heart

Once in a while

I rest my hand 
over my chest 
over my heart ~ BAA DoooM BAA DoooM BAA DoooM
to feel its song 
to feel its beats
to contemplate
 how it never 
   failed me
     for all 
     these 
     years  

    after 
         eating  
               greasy 
                      chicken
                         burgers 
                                 and fries

never 
       eating
             enough 
                  vegetables 
                            or drinking 
                                    enough
                                           water
 



but it still beats~BAA DoooM BAA DoooM BAA DoooM



it still sings though I feed it more bad than
good,it still rejoices THAT IS LOVE ,a love 
we seldom feed our hearts, a love we 
seldom feed each other. 


Come on lets count our heat beats a little more~BAA DoooM BAA DoooM BAA DoooM

The Situation June 18, 2012 at 6:49 PM when your heart tells you that it time to quit it's too late. when diabedies appeares it will change your diet for you. or you will die or suffer untill you die. start now!!! before it's too late and you have to give up the things you love. i can't even look at a bag of skins.

Andrea Dietrich June 17, 2012 at 11:25 AM I can so relate to this one. In my youth I really abused it with those lovely greasy foods. But I have tried really hard to better my diet in the past 20 years and all of a sudden I am showing slightly high blood pressure this last week at the doctor's. Go figure!! well, I sure enjoyed this poem, it's very nice!!
