Just  a fun write!

Puppet on your strings

You own me...
own my body and soul.
You play me...
you've taken complete control.

You can do anything
that you want ...with me
You play me... (I'm like)
a puppet on your strings

Watch me now!
You can make me, do anything
I'm willing...
'Cause I'm your puppet ...yeah
I'm a puppet on your strings

I'll be your...
tiny dancer
I'll be your...
soul romancer
I'll be your...
2nd chancer
I'll be your...
final answer

Pull me this way
Pull me that way
Pull me over
Pull me closer

I'll do anything for you
baby,
'cause I'm your puppet
I'm a puppet on your strings
So come on over now...
and play me...
pull those strings...
and I'll dance for you.

I loved the bouncy, jaunty rhythm of this piece, John, whilst conveying that depth of emotion. Nice write. Regards, John.

I love this, John 7 When we can trust the one that loves us, we can trust the pulling of strings. Love the movement in your poem! I can see and feel the whole orchestration! Saving this beauty!

A tasty light poem which could easily be reconstructed and used as lyrics for a song, John. Truly enjoyed. Regards // paul

Hi Paul, you're right, I was thinking of that, but another verse was lacking so I posted it as is, let's see what comes to me, I'm sure this will be a song. Didn't some motown artist do I'm your puppet in the 60's I forget who. Thanks for the visit!

I love and very much enjoy your lite romantic take on this theme! A7 for an excellent write! When you have some time please check out a piece I penned called "I'm Not Your Puppet" (12-26-2014) which is a different take on the theme by one whose love was taken for granted. :-) Best wishes. Pandita
