A Promised Land

We search for it ceaselessly
     each in his own way

   Exertion, exhaustion
     day after day

   For all we fall short
     we press weary on

   A Promised Land
     such striving
     depends upon

When you stop striving you seem to lose a lot out of life. Well Done Gershon. A good life lesson. A fave for me. God Bless, JB

Hi Gershon, The promised lands may be far in the distance, but I won’t give up trying to get there. I enjoyed the read:-) Alexis

Reaching those lands take effort and work. Certainly can be exhausting. We must never give up in life, regardless of what we are seeking. Great one Gershon. Take care :)

That's right. Never give up in this life... although taking a day or two to regroup is permitted sometimes, I think. Thanks for the encouragement, Heidi. Happiness always, Gershon

You reap what you sow, and in the process you become exhausted. Living needs backbone. Great one Gershon, Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I like what you wrote there, Jennifer: "Living needs backbone." It sure does!! ... Especially marriage! LOL. Anyway,... Great comment. Thanks, gw
