A Promise To Keep

I awoke this morning and thought for awhile
of the promise I made you then had to smile

You ask me to save the very next dance for you
I said yes and then wondered just what can I do

To keep my promise though we're oceans apart
but to keep that promise burns deep in my heart

So close your eyes and come take my hand
and we 'll waltz across the great desert sand

When we are tired of dancing we will sail away
to all of the oceans and for awhile we will stay

To us distance will never be a problem you see
just close your eyes and dream and there I will be
