A Promise
Days go by, While time stays still.
I am waiting, to climb the highest hill.
Minds go blank, in a moment's pause.
Meeting you there, at the top is my cause.
Feelings go crazy, filling up our heart.
Not leaving yet, as though being apart.
Life will go on, while we stay right here.
pulling you close, I need you to be near.
Growing closer, even by a little.
Having no time, to really get a feel.
Magic like him, like the wizard of Oz.
Dealing with me, I give you my applause.
We're together, giving us a great start.
Our future's lead, turning out to be smart.
I will not leave, I want that to be clear.
Words coming true, "I do" is all I hear.
First between us, I promise love uphill.
Like an eagle, you'll have your own free will.
Promising you, marriage into the law.
Raising a child, teaching them how to draw.
Zero at first, creating a love chart
Love becoming, nothing more than an art.
Moving forward, overcoming our fear.
All that is left, is calling you "my dear".
I promise to always have loyalty
I promise to not be fake but real
I promise to treat you like royalty
I promise to consider your appeal
I promise to always be by your side
I promise to you will years to be
I promise to show and not to hide
I promise to a family maybe of three
I promise to never be in the wrong
I promise to never cause you agony
I promise to always sing our love song
I promise to be together happily
