A Promise

I'm free
free to do me
I won't let
past experiences
hinder me
I will jump to the light
like Micheal Jordon
does a basket
Or hound dogs flee

I'll never be happy
with half
I hungry for all of it
I have dreams
of conquering the world
I learned real young
not to be too soft

Tears will fall
and sometimes
I will have to crawl
but I will make
my mark in this world.
That's a promise
