A Princess

Ruby Lee

R... Right or wrong I came here.
U.. uncertain of what life would be.
B... Because God wanted me here.
Y... Young, I was once.

L... Love I did find.
E... Envy - I never had.
E... Everyone will read my Epitaph.

A Princess

A princess they say she was.
A princess, she came to be.
A princess was Ruby Lee...

This is very true. Ruby Lee was a real
American Indian Princess. Her granddaughter
was a writer. In 2007 she asked me to write
a poem for her. She was 100 years old in
02/ of 2007. They wanted to collect 100
poems and read them all to her on her day.
Her granddaughter was then 44 years old.
She died 2 months later.
