Now that you're here every negative thing I said I swear I take it back
You don't understand my words yet but you will eventually
You got your mothers eyes and you got my nose and my lips

Your smile gives me motivation it gives me hope and makes me want to be a better man
You make me proud to be alive but most importantly I'm proud to be a father

I remember when I didn't know how you look
I remember when I didn't know how you smell or how you'd feel in my arms
Now when I look at you all I see is me

I'm sorry for all the things I said to your mom when you were inside her, I swear I didn't mean it
I hope you don't hold these things against me
But it's not just the mothers who go through **** during pregnancy
Just to let you know I want you right here with me forever
I give you my heart, I give you my love and I give you my name
I give you my word that I promise to love and take care of you for as long as I live
I cherish you and I live for you
