A Prayer For Mercy
When I'm down in the dumps
And up against a wall
Oh God, from afar hear,
To Thee, draw me near!
When I'm in low spirits
Running high and dry
Oh God, Look down on me,
Lift me up to Thee!
When things get out of hand
And I'm shot in the legs
Oh God, take control,
Let me Thy name extol!
When I'm too close to tears
Beyond any comfort
Oh God, hear my cry,
On Thee, do I rely!
When I step into a miry path
And out of Your chosen way
Oh God, shine Thy light,
Give me Thy foresight!
When temptations make me fall
And unto Thee I call,
Oh God, have mercy on me,
And wash my sins off me!
