A Prayer For Help

God, help me. I need you today
To you I pray
As I cry for help
My grief in heaven is felt
Ease the suffering of the victims that no one can hear
Please lend me a ear to hear and a heart to care
My Lord how much can the heart adore?
These burdens of life make the spirit sore
I'm praying for clemency for the innocents who've died by the scores
Let their be peace from shore to shore
My eyes are heavy with remorse
I pray that this world take a different course
No more wasted tears
I’m sick and tired of living in fear
It's not so difficult to forget our anger
When every day breeds danger
Let’s take the sorrow of the past and throw it away
Why agonize about what may come when tomorrow is far away
Some days are a battle, a steep climb uphill
Things will go wrong and they always will
We must not lose faith in God or our country
Sometimes we are our own enemy
God will be there for us
In the Lord, just believe and trust
This world is like a jungle
He will guide our leaders and aid us through this struggle

Psalm 18:32-33 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes
my feet like the feet of the deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.

As you stated so well it is not our place to question God's will - All we can do is strive to serve him and follow the paths he chooses for us - It would appear that world has forgot the man I once was and only sees the man I am today - I only wish that I could but some memories just grow stronger with time as does the remorse of them - I guess it is that remorse that drives me to try and change for the good with every single breath that I take - loved this poem - God Bless, MJ

Jeffery this poem touched my heart very deeply - After watching my mother drown when I was 4 I was very angry with God and lived my life in such a way that I hold hold great remorse now - The Lord took a vile and evil man that had reached the Prison inside the Prison and I was so full of hate and alone in that cell he delivered me and my life just continues to get more beautiful - I often wonder "why" he would do what he has for me when I was just pure evil bro - cont.
