A Prayer For Healing
Dear Lord, in these days of trying times,
I come to you humbled and fearful.
I'm in knowledge of friends, family
And the unknown battling heartache,
Depression, illness and death.
I've come with peace in my heart,
Love in my soul and belief in my mind,
That you Lord, will heal them.
Cradle them in your arms and ease their woes.
Remove the doubt that weighs
On the minds of the worrisome.
Redirect the paths of the misguided
So your word will be a light unto their feet.
Unlock the doors of the negative minded
Show them that despite where they are in life,
They have purpose.
Allow them to experience your heavenly smile.
Touch their hearts Lord.
Let them feel your love like
They've never felt it before.
Hold their hands, Lord!
Give them the strength to carry on
Even when they feel like there's
No hope left within them
Because all things are done through you.
Comfort the grieving so they may find
Strength and support in the hearts and faces
Where there wasn't any.
Show them mercy,
Lord, I ask that these words reach anyone
Anywhere who needs to hear them.
Allow them to flow as free and open
As the winds and oceans
You've so graciously given us.
May these words from my mouth
And the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in your sight dear Lord,
My strength and my redeemer.
Amen.
