A Prayer

Down on my knees,
just like religion,
I begged you to stay.
But with one look,
and with one sigh,
you took your things,
and said goodbye.
If I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Maybe then,
you will see,
I was made for you,
and you for me.
