A Prayer

Kneeling down before you
 and humbled in heart.
Saying 'Dear Heavenly Father'.
 is how I'll start.

As I continue on
 with a great sincerity.
I thank him for
 blessings he's given me.

One by one, I list them:
 talents, family and friends.
The list goes on
 and never really ends.

Having a contrite spirit
 and a desire to repent.
One thing comes to mind
 the great atonement.

In one selfless act
 for all of mankind.
Forgiveness for our sins,
 we can all find.

So with a humble question
 I ask for forgiveness.
With a feeling of peace
 he has answered... Yes.

In a last request,
 for a blessing I plead.
Not just for me but
 all those in need.

So when I'm done
 I'll say this then;
'In the name of
 Jesus Christ... Amen'.
