A Prayer 4

Help me O Lord,
to understand my limitations,
for I fail when trying to be all things to all people.
Never forgetting that Satan has a much smaller target,
when I’m kneeling.
To not let pass, today’s given opportunities,
chancing that tomorrows might be greater.
Help me to treat obstacles that I encounter,
in my witness for you,
as mere speed bumps and not stop signs.
Let any sacrifice come from genuine care,
not from sense of duty.
Finally Lord,
Let this day be one of my life’s pages
which others might dog-ear and read again.
Amen
