A Portrait In Verse

Titian couldn’t have painted a portrait oh so rare
Of Rebecca Louise, with her pretty golden hair.
He may have caught the sadness round her lovely eyes,
Yet the beauty deep within would somehow pass him by!

There is so much hidden meaning, in a heart full of gold!
This surprising quality is beautiful and bold.
A Portrait is a picture at the end of the day
And is what the artist wishes and hopes to convey.

Can he capture happiness and sadness all in one?
Show contrast in character? I’m afraid it can’t be done!
He can only entertain, what his eye perceives;
A portrait of great splendour of Rebecca Louise!

I give this Portrait to you; please keep it close to hand,
So you can well remember and truly understand:
This masterpiece works miracles; it’s truly Superclass
Bringing much encouragement that can never be surpassed.
