A Point To Every Encounter
I'm okay with blending in.
I've never cared much about popularity, or sticking out from the rest.
I'm fine with being forgettable.
I'm there.
I exist.
That's more than some people can say.
But even the ones who are no longer here have left their impact.
After all, there's a point to every encounter.
I'm just not sure how memorable my encounter would be.
I know I'm not flashy or colorful.
A peach-hued island rests upon a sea of navy blue wool, candy-corn horns curling out from beneath its waves.
Maybe I'm a bit pretentious, a bit silly.
But I keep on hoping I'll find a friend one day.
I've got to keep on hoping, because it's the only thing I've got.
I might not care what the world thinks, but sometimes a little town's opinion means more than a planet's.
And I want to hear them all.
After all,
There's a point to every encounter.
(Another animal crossing poem that I wrote for youtube, this one is about Eunice the sheep.)
