A Poets Universe
Each day is a universe of its own
complete with promise, you’re on the way.
An opportunity to make feelings known
your future will grow with each single day.
Build your day with poems to treasure
like gems in a crown to be put on your head.
Some will be brilliant, others a failure
n’er be remembered, forgotten instead.
Fill each day with words like stars in the sky
let poems flow free, like the solar winds.
Find answers to questions, when you ask why
for this is where your eternity begins.
So, sit in your chair with your pen in hand
building your universe, you’re on a quest.
Hoping you can write a poem that is grand
searching for the one that will be your best.
You won’t be famous, that’s not what matters
writing poetry can sometimes be a curse.
Tho some may think of us as mad hatters
there are other things that could be worse!
