A Poet's Greed
A poet starves not for the riches of the world,
For the bejewels of the queen or the necklace pearled.
He cares not for the power of the throne,
Nor for his enemy's blood and bone.
He looks not for God in temples and churches,
He hungers for the quill, finding divinity amongst the pages.
