A Poem To My Penpal

If I am to be
but a streetlight,
let me illuminate
your heavy night.

Let me gladden
the dusk of your soul
with the promise of
brighter days.

You are so gifted my friend to reach people, this is the love of God flowing through you , we have to keep trying anyway we can to reach some, and it draws us closer to God in the process, you are a bright light in a world of darkness, just to sad not many know they are walking in darkness, much love and support to you

I like thinking of sprits as light, and the kindness you expressed here is kindness in its essence. Your poem could be directed at anyone. Now, on another note, yes, we are very different in style. I tend to express things in summary, but you have that ability as shown with this poem. You also have the ability to compose wonderful and exciting stories ...and much more. I like what I see so very much. May I thank-you for sending me a comment a couple of weeks ago? I have missed the exchanges.

Thank you for your warm regards. I've certainly been in my own world as of late, but have not forgotten my friends on P.S. I am glad you find my stories exciting. I have always been my worst critic. Again, appreciate your support. I'm trying to make the effort to stick around more often. ~Laura

The stars glimmer like harmless giggles, the moon spills the scream of distant love from the Sun, yet you, bold streetlight reveal the truth at my very feet...your poem is pretty nice Poetess...J.A.B.
