A Poem For You

Your face, I trace as a memory
For my heart to remember you
Though haze of many years gone
May cloud my point of view
My sketch, I've etched remains
as fresh as though It were yesterday
And I hold onto you

I remember your eyes, such bluish surprise
And what shade of rose colored your lips
The way you looked my way
With a smile; framed
By that golden cascade to your chest
Your memory reigns
And nourishes my desert soul
