A Poem For Merrick's Birthday
Today is your birthday,
Another year older and wiser.
Blessed to be celebrating with your sister and parents,
Friends come by to wish you a Happy Birthday.
Your love for sports, hockey.
Champion on ice.
The day you came to visit grandma was such a miracle,
I think you stayed for dinner.
Much to my delight,
Grandma loves reunions.
Good talking to you on the telephone,
I hope that you are all keeping well.
I know that you like puzzles,
How accomplished when you complete the puzzle.
I hope that you have a nice birthday party ,
With your sister and parents.
May your good wishes come true,
God bless and hugs from grandma Gwen.
