A Pocket Full of Lint

Pocket Full of Lint

Ain’t no bargain
Being broke
Having to weigh
Each time you
Spend some

Ain’t no grace
To having nothin’
Worrying each day
Insides twisted up
In painful knots

Ain’t no joy
In saying
I can’t
When all you
Want to say is
Yes

Ain’t no love
In a pocket
Full of lint
Hole in the bottom
Air blowing in…
