Billy Thekidster Poet Rhyme

A Plea

I make this plea in all sincerity
to the younger generation presently.
Under no circumstances ever join the military
and they who are serving currently
should lay down their arms and go Absent WithOut Leave
otherwise, you may find yourself one day detaining your families.
This action will not cause us any vulnerability
from an invasion of a country most unfriendly.
If our shores were ever stormed by an enemy
as a civilian I'd defend our liberties
as I'm sure would also the majority.
America was once The Land Of The Free
but we're now headed for a state of total oligarchy
hiding behind democracy.
Something revolutionary must be done immediately
or America as we know it will cease to be.

Poetry Soup is driving me bonkers, every day I find a poet who's poems I must read on a regular basis you are now one of them also! Oh crikey you are all driving me bats!
