A Planted Seed of Love

Our Granddaughter rang us to say,
She had a baby on the way,
We received an Ultra Sound
Of the foetus, it looks grand

The baby's features seen,
With its heart pulsating, what a scene.
To see this miracle of miracles so clear
From the tip of it's toes
And its shell-like ears

Filled with awe as we gazed at the view
Of this precious life so perfect and new.
Born with all a mortal needs,
From just one egg and one seed,

A gift of life from the master craftsman above,
Conceived and received with everlasting love.

Congratulations on the news about your great-grandchild. Boy, those ultrasound photos are amazing these days. They even come in color. I remember when my children came along, they just looked like a blob of grainy gray goop. Great poem my friend. Thanks for sharing.

So good to be proud of having a new life. How hateful to see newly conceived killed.
