A Place To Belong

Searching for a place to belong
Trying so hard to fit in
      To be what everyone else
        Wants her to be
      That she loses herself

        Alone at night
      She cries herself to sleep
      Feeling so lost and alone

     Misunderstood
    She slices her skin
    Just to watch it bleed
The pain is the only thing
That reminds her she is alive

    Eyes haunted and desolate
     She walks through life
     Like a ghost long dead
           Invisible
      And forever unnoticed

Raven, please never think of yourself as alone. God is always with you and your beautiful but sad poem will certainly reduce your fears of being "forever unnoticed."

Thank you for your touching comment. Since giving my life to Christ I have never felt that way again. :) God bless you.

There is no worse feeling than invisibility... when you have contact with nobody, including yourself. Well done Raven! God bless, Keith
