''A Place Infinite''
and in my dream
I find myself in a bizarre, foreign place
a place of infinite shades of green
veiled in haze-
and I, a striking, ravishing exotic being-
enchanting strange butterflies and birds drift, and
I am lost in a sea of lush, dripping foliage, where
daggers of heat pierce my skin-
I belong in this steamy, tropical forest
in this deep-colored and green stained exotic land,
yes, I do . . .
far-off and distant, where all is enticing
and mysterious wildflowers grow-
and above the tree canopy
there is a dazzling jet blue sky
where hidden- birds sing melodic songs for me . . .
oh, there is a hypnotic peace, where all is
untamed and apart
and all I need do is . . .
close my eyes
