A Place in My Heart

There’s a place in my heart where I would hide		
And somehow you have found your way inside.
Coming into the place that I called home		
To show me that I wasn’t all alone.

There’s a place in my heart where I have cried,		
But my tears, because of you have all dried.
Entered into my darkness bearing light.		
You led my lonely spirit out of night.

There’s a place in my heart where I would stay.
You came in and you showed me how to play.
Changing all of the rules I thought were true.
You took all that was old and made it new.

There’s a place in my heart where I would sit.		
And you danced in but I don’t mind a bit.
For I know I will never come to harm			
When you have wrapped me up, warm in your arms.

Empty spaces, tempting fates, 
Things I wanted to replace…
Looking at your smiling face
And they’re gone without a trace.

Now, there’s a place in my heart with no doors,	
And a place in my hand just made for yours,
And a space next to you where I will stand		
And never will I let go of your hand.
 	
There’s a place in my heart made just for you
Where one and one make one and never two,
Where love songs always end up being true.
There’s a place in my heart
Where we’re never apart.
Yes, there’s a place in my heart just for you.
